Jewelry Blog Post Topic Ideas

Jewelry Blog Post Topic Ideas (Sneak Peek)!

by Rena Klingenberg

I’m working hard on the finishing touches to the “Jewelry Blogging Success Guide” I promised you.

(Update:  The Jewelry Blogging Success Guide is now available!)

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek from one section of my upcoming Jewelry Blogging Success Guide . . . .

A few blog post topic ideas snatched from the pages of the Guide, for you to use while you wait!

————

Blog Post Idea #102:

If you were stranded alone on an island for a year, what three jewelry-making items would you want to have with you – and why?

Hint:  You might want use these items for survival purposes as well as for making jewelry!

[This topic was inspired by a question Lynn Kvigne asked me in an interview several years ago.]

————

Blog Post Idea #14:

Show and describe how to measure a wrist accurately for a bracelet.

People have trouble understanding how to do this from just a text description.  They need to see step-by-step pictures.

Most people aren’t sure what part of their wrist to measure, how tight the tape measure should be, whether they should add a small amount to the length they came up with, etc.

So show close-up photos of you measuring someone’s wrist, and describe exactly how you’re doing everything in the photos.

This will be a great blog post for you to link to whenever you need to have people measure their wrist size!

————

Blog Post Idea #256:

Talk about a significant change you’ve made at some point in your jewelry-making or your business.

Why did you go in this new direction?  What results have come out of it?

Overall, how has it worked out for you?

————

Blog Post Idea #24:

Discuss one way you’re incorporating a new technology into your business or your jewelry making.

This might be a jewelry design program, an app, a new electronic gadget, an online resource, a new way of using your smartphone, etc.

Things you might want to cover in this post:

  • How does this bit of technology make your artistry or business better, easier, more fun, etc.?
  • Was it hard to figure out and adapt to this technology?
  • Has it solved some problems while creating other problems?
  • What made you decide to use it?
  • What do you like about it?
  • What changes would you suggest to make it better?

Hi Rena!
These 4 sneak-peek blog post topic ideas are gorgeous!!! I especially love the stranded-on-an-island idea! :) (maybe because I spend part of the year on a Greek island? LOL)
Looking forward to the complete Guide!
Once again, thank you for your help and wonderful success tips on your websites, they are so precious!!!!

Rena Klingenberg

Thanks, Anna! I appreciate your kind words! I had a lot of fun coming up with all the blog topic ideas and other tips for the Guide.

And lucky you – being a part-time Greek island resident! :)

Rena – You never cease to amaze me. I read every thing on your website and now the blogs!! Can hardly wait. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Bless you and much success.

Janmary, N Ireland

Really excited about this new venture. I have a personal blog which I enjoy posting on and get lots of comments on, but my business blog seems I find it much more difficult to keep posting regularily apart from “Here is my latest creation”.

Hoping for lots more inspiration :)

Just bought your “Secrets of Jewelry Shopping Service” e book and really enjoying it. Thanks!

Rena Klingenberg

Thank you, Jean! Your lovely message means a lot to me. :)

Rena Klingenberg

Thank you, Janmary! I’ve definitely got a lot of jewelry-oriented blog post ideas lined up for you, beyond “here’s my latest creation”. (Although that’s always a good topic too!) :)

I think you’ll have fun choosing from the topics and exploring them in your blog posts!

And I’m so thrilled to hear you’re enjoying my “Secrets of a Handcrafted Jewelry Shopping Service” ebook – it’s my favorite of my three books.

Dita

Those are great topic, especially the first one mae me think. Well, I kind of decided on the three very important tools, but you don’t want that comment right now, right, Rena?

Rena Klingenberg

Dita, tell me when you’ve written it up in your blog so I can come over and read it there! :) I’d love to see what jewelry tools you want on your island!

Debbie

Thank you for these ideas Rena! I’ve thought about starting a blog a few times but then wondered what I would talk about that would be interesting. You’ve given some great ideas and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next. :)

zoraida

Rena, I’m loving your “guide to be already”! This preview has started the wheels in my head spinning with blogging ideas. I can visualize myself writing on every single suggestion you’ve made. Can’t wait for the entire guide. Got to go write these down now before I get bogged down with chores and the inspiration wanes.

Rena Klingenberg

Thanks so much for your kind words, Debbie! I’m going to make sure you never have writer’s block when it comes to your jewelry blog. :)

Zoraida, thank you! Is your excellent new post, I Love My New Business Cards, inspired by Blog Post Idea #256?

zoraida

Actually, I did start thinking of this post as I was reading your blog. Don’t quite know why, but it did. I suppose I decided that every post doesn’t have to be earth shattering news and that these small steps in my evolution might be interesting to someone else traveling down the same road.

Dita

Hey Rena,
I did find my three things. They are in my blog. Come and see
http://www.alankarshilpa.blogspot.com. Dita.

Charlene

Thank you so much for your work! I just created a blog for our jewelry business and have never done anything quite like this, so you’re ideas are very helpful!!! I love the creativity of some of these ideas and am looking forward to incorporating them!

zoraida

Idea #256 really seems to fit my “new” jewelry business” attitude. I’ve come to realize that making jewelry, no matter how great that jewelry may be, is not enough to make one successful in business. I’ve learned that good photography and marketing are an absolute must. The recent post on my blog regarding my business cards incorporates both of these ideas. I bought a better camera, learned how to use it and used that achievement to create a better presentation for my business.

Rena,
I loved your previous books so I immediately downloaded your blogging book. OMG I am in heaven!
I have taken several seminars in the past but just never got blogging off the ground. Now I know exactly what to do and have so many topics I am excited about. LOVE the blog calender concept, which I have already set up.
I can’t thank you enough…
Ann

Hi Rena,

Thank you so much for these great ideas. I’m always trying to think of what to put on my blog.

zoraida

Your Blogging guide is there here on my desktop. I refer to it all the time. It really is packed with great ideas. I’m always giving suggestions to my daughter too whenever she is stuck on what to write in her blogs. Thanks so much for writing it!!!

Chaya

Your blogging guide is really thoughtful and inspirational. I’m always having problems coming up with ideas for my blog and social media networking. Your ideas are very helpful and I can’t wait to incorporate them.
