When Customers Bargain or Haggle Over Your Prices
What do you do when customers want to bargain or haggle over your jewelry prices?
Here's a tip for dealing with hagglers, sent in by a jewelry artist named Deb:
When hagglers come up to me I have come up with the perfect response when they ask if they can get it for less…
Very politely, while leaning slightly forward to them and touching their arm, I say:
"Sir / Ma'am, I'm the artist, it doesn't get cheaper than this unless you purchase in bulk, meaning 10 or more items."
Often they say "Oh, I didn't realize that" and pay the full price.
