How to Sell More Jewelry for the Rest of 2008

Our currently unstable economy doesn’t affect all jewelry customers.  Here’s an interesting statistic:

At the end of September, Elite Traveler (”the private jet lifestyle magazine”) surveyed 500 families whose net worth is at least one million dollars.

These super-rich consumers say they don’t plan to change their spending habits for the remainder of 2008.

In fact, 96.4% of the high-net-worth consumers surveyed are planning to spend an average of $108,100 on jewelry and watches alone before the end of this year!

So what’s the best way to get your jewelry in front of these folks who are already planning to spend a fortune on the type of products you offer?

The best thing to do is to put your jewelry on display in the places where wealthy consumers go.

I recommend scheduling jewelry trunk shows at places like country clubs, day spas, and resorts.

Also start promoting your jewelry as business gifts to higher income clients.

I think having different price points help too, so everyone can afford something!

How does one do this without having any connections? Having not lived a long time in this area I don’t even know where or what the Country clubs, resorts, and high end spas are.

My work is fabulous, my marketing and selling instincts, on the other hand, are not. I can look up country clubs online, but then who do I talk to? What do I say?

This is the same problem I have with all marketing ideas. I don’t know who I should speak with nor what to say to them.

It’s quite disheartening, really.
