My wife has had success and fun trading and bartering her jewelry there. May be worth a look. I think bartering is clearly a powerful idea not to be overlooked! It has made me so happy! First of all, I now have a massage therapist! At shows, I have things which I truly love: a PJ set, a gorgeous blouse, fantastic gifts for birthdays and holidays, candles, jewelry show labor (!), print material for my jewelry business, free memberships to organizations...etc. etc. I think this is something we should all include in our year end income statements in a private note: "wow, I kind of like this business I'm in!" I participate in a crafters' gallery and the artists there barter all the time. I plan doing most of my Christmas shopping done early this year, through bartering. I've never bartered on the scale that Kari did, though!
