Before using glue or epoxy on smooth surfaces such as gemstones, use an emory board or light sandpaper to rough the area before applying glue.
Determine sandpaper grit size by the texture of the surface you’re working with.
Only sand areas that will be covered by the glued object.
Follow drying directions for the adhesive that you are using.
Those altered surfaces are excellent for beads that will hold clip earring backs and pin backs.
